When I try to install the 1.5alpha component com_jevents1.5alpha.zip it fails with the following message:

JInstaller::install: File '/home/nkllcom/public_html/joomla/tmp/install_47cb8ef2bd5af/layouts/ext/images/index.html' does not exist

Anyone else getting this?

This file is in the zip package - try uninstalling and reinstalling.

I agree that the files exist in the zip file package. However, I get the same error whether I try to install it locally on my development PC or upload to my hosted website.

If I unzip the files and then re-zip them up I get several errors with file dates. WinZip "fixed" the date errors and the re-zipped package now installs OK. Here is the log from WinZip.

Does the package just need to be rebuilt for future downloads?

Very strange indeed - I'll take a a look.

What OS is your server running on?

My local PC is Windows XP. I get the same results whether I use IIS or Apache. My hosted site uses Linux and Apache 2.2.6.

Like I said I see the same thing on both systems. If I unzip locally and then re-zip and let it fix the file dates everything is OK.

I uploaded a fresh version which I packaged using another tool - can you try that one?
