Resolved Edit and Ical button not working anymore

Hi,
I have an issue with edit button and ical button on event detail page. Icons are displayed but when i click on them, nothing happens. I just see an error on the console in inspector from firefox :
Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).modal is not a function
at launchModal (c89fc5a09242fadf0c36a1719ec1d205.js:206)
at jevIdPopup (c89fc5a09242fadf0c36a1719ec1d205.js:266)
at <anonymous>:1:1

I don't know how to fix that. This issue came after updating jevent. I am using silver addon template Iconic but this one isn't updated since i have no more subscription.

Can you help me please?

Thank you geraint. I have finally found that the list calendar was forwarding to the event page with a custom template parameter which was preventing the ical modal to load properly. It is working now.

Hi tony,

I just tested to downgrade Jevents and it works with Jevents Core 3.6.11
With 3.6.12 ou 3.6.13 the modal does't work anymore. Not sure to understand why it doesn't work anymore

Can you please try to come back to me about this?

Hello, I am jumping on the topic. I receive the same message with the ical button:

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).modal is not a function
at launchJevModal (jevmodal.js:243:26)
at jevIdPopup (jevmodal.js:10:5)
at <anonymous>:1:1

Joomla v.3.9.26 and I tried with JEvents 3.6.13 and now with 3.6.39 same thing. I also tried to deactivate several plugins, defer loading of the following files:

media/com_jevents/lib_jevmodal/js/jevmodal.js
/media/com_jevents/jevmaps/js/locationdetail.js
/components/com_jevents/assets/js/editpopupJQ.js
/components/com_jevents/assets/js/jQnc.js
/components/com_jevents/assets/js/view_detailJQ.js

Is there anything that I could try ?

You should upgrade to Joomla 3.10.11 we haven't been developing/testing for Joomla 3.9.x for some time

If the problem persists you should check if your site is loading a custom version of jQuery/Bootstrap that doesn't include the modal library.

If that isn't a help then please send me login details via the private site details tab below and I'll take a look.

Updated to JEvents 3.6.42 + the above defer + removing a template parameter un the URL fixed the problem
