Resolved Words not completely translated to Portuguese

I'm using the JEvents v1.4.1, I just checked the locale of my Joomla installation and is set to pt_PT (PORTUGUESE), but it has some words that continue to appear in English.

Can someone tell me what do I need to do (if possible in detail, because I haven't many experience in these subjects...), to correct this problem?

Nobody can help you if you don't tell the details, which words in which situation are not translated.
Btw, the latest stable version is 1.4.2. Check the language file from the latest release and locate the missing translation.

The words that appear in english are the Months and the Weekdays. For instances,
. if I request the events for today, it appears
. on the title 'Wednesday, 12 March 2008'
. on the report line 'Nenhum evento para Wednesday, 12 March 2008'
. if I request the events for the week, it appears,
. on the title '09 March 2008 - 15 March 2008'
. on the report lines, as first field '09 March, 10 March, 11 March, ...'
. if I request the events for the month, it appears
. on the title 'March 2008'.

I just check the language and it's ok!

Most date strings are not taken from the JEvents translation file but generated by the php function strftime() which uses the locale functionality of your operating system. This requires that the support of the Portuguese language is installed in the operating system and the correct corresponding locale in Joomla is set.
