When editing general configuration and saving, we stay in configuration. Previous versions returned directly to control panel (which is more logical). Moreover, there is no way to return there, save clicking on "Cancel" which is quite scary.

Note : I personnaly think it would be preferable to drop the idea of a control panel and have all navigation icons in the toolbar and other navigation tools in a sub-toolbar (j1.5-component-style, like Links or Banners, for instance). But I guess it would mean a huge rewrite, so I won't press you guys too much on this after all, with a little clarification here and there, things should work out fine like it is now.
