Resolved Time format in latest events

When time is being shown in the latest_events mod on my frontpage, time appears to be in 12 hr format
In the actual events - time format is correct.
In events-configuration i have time set as 12hr format : NO

where did I err if I want 24hr format to be shown on the frontpage - via latest_events?

The component setting is not related to the module.
Use the available date and time formating to fulfill your request.
For more information click on (?) at the Latest Events tab at the component configuration
