By default, in the category view events are listed in ascending order. You may want to show this in order to see upcoming events first. Here’s how to achieve this within JEvents 1.4.2: Find “function listEventsByCat” in events.php (components/events/).
The function contains two rows containing: . "\n ORDER BY publish_up ASC $limit". Overwrite ASC by DESC. That’s it. You have interest to thoroughfully check the outcome.
