Hi,

As far as I know the Administrator can create tickets using RSVP Pro and Virtuemart as explained in [url=http://www.jevents.net/component/content/article/122:2s0hny7q]Virtuemart Tickets for Events[/url:2s0hny7q].
I need a way to let registered users to create and administer their own events and create / administer tickets for them. Can this be done from the front-end and not showing the Product Information Virtuemart screens?

Regards,

Paco

Hello Paco,

This can indeed be done. You actually no longer need Virtuemart but it is an addon should you already user Virtuemart.

Users can be allowed to create their own registration and also use their own PayPal address :).

Tony

Hi Tony,
Thank you for your answer.
Is there a demo where I could have a look?

Also see http://www.jevents.net/jevents-club/dem ... istrations - it doesn't show the ticketing part but will give you an idea of the registration options.

Hi,
Thank you Tony and Geraint for your answers. I still have some questions so I will try to explain my main goals:

[list:ejvnea06]Give 'Event Creator Users' front-end access to registrations and transactions for their own Events.

Give 'Admin User' back-end access, by Event and by Event Creator, to registrations and transactions.

Give 'Event Attendees' front-end access to their own registrations and transactions.

Use Virtuemart because of its payment gateway integration. Virtuemart's Multi Vendor capabilities are not required by now.[/list:u:ejvnea06]

Regards,

Paco

Hi Paco

Give 'Event Creator Users' front-end access to registrations and transactions for their own Events.

You can create a menu item to list sessions at present this can be configured to list sessions the visitor is attending - it would be easy to add a config option to show the sessions the user has created (if you need this feature we can add it within a day of a request by a gold member). If authorised in this list the event creator can view the list of attendees (and their transations) and manage them/export them from there.

Alternatively you can create a 'my events' menu item which only shows events the logged in user has created. These will include lists of attendees etc.

Give 'Admin User' back-end access, by Event and by Event Creator, to registrations and transactions.

A standard feature.

Give 'Event Attendees' front-end access to their own registrations and transactions.

You can create a menu item to show 'my sessions' i.e. only the events the user has registered for. Also JEvents menu items and modules can be filtered to show events the user has signed up for - e.g. the upcoming events module can be filtered to only show the events being attended.

Use Virtuemart because of its payment gateway integration. Virtuemart's Multi Vendor capabilities are not required by now.

VM2 is supported in Joomla 2.5 (there is no support for multi-vendors) as a payment mechanism as well as Paypal (IPN), authorize.net and manual payments.
