  2. JEvents 1.5 Help
  3. Monday, 17 March 2008
I posted into the other thread, but fear it is being ignored and assumed solved.

I too can not get the calendar and event links in my sidebar to go to a page. I get a 404 error. The URL looks like this: /http://index.php/view_day/2008/03/25.html?catids=43%7C44%7C45

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you!

This looks like an old problem from some time ago - which version of JEvents are you using?

You may be encountering a bug in Joomla that for some reason is not being fixed. If your webserver running PHP as CGI? If so try specifying the live_site value in configuration.php e.g. var $live_site = "http://www.mydomain.com";;

Doing that breaks the site with this error message:

FastCGI-stderr: PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare JConfig::$live_site

Do you have a menu item for the JEvents calendar? The builtin SEF uses the menu to construct the URL.
