I am trying to enter a multiple day event. The event is on Saturday 30 April, Sunday 01 May and Wednesday 04 May. I have selected the start date and also indicated the three days in the weekly view at the bottom.

However when I save the event in the calendar view it is placing the event dates as Saturday 30 April, Wednesday 04 May and Saturday 07 May. It is ignoring the Sunday.

Unfortunately working to a deadline so any help would be really appreciated. I have multiple events like this to enter. I am sure it is something simple.

Hello,

Do you need it to be a repeating event? Or should it be a multiday event which would mean starting the date first and ending on the last date.

That is strange, I will look into that. In the meantime, you can do irregular repeats if you go into JEvents Config -> Event Editting -> Allow creation of irregular repeats using date selector > YES

This will then allow you to set the 3dates you want the event on.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony, thank you for your suggestions.

I did try changing the starting day in the calendar view from Monday to Saturday and weirdly this then meant the Calendar would skip Wednesdays and you could not add anything for that day. Very weird. What I am entering is a number of recurring events for a golf tournament. Each tournament usually has 4 rounds, with each round being held over 3 days (Sat, Sun & Wed). I have a sort of fix working by limiting the date of each round in the calendar to the Wed, but it would be so much easier if I could just select Sat, Sun and Wed in the boxes and it used the next Sat, Sun and Wed from the Saturday date already entered.

For an event where nothing seems to work exactly I was breaking down the events into separate days. Much slower but then the event does not jump around the calendar and change the day it is on depending on the view selected. I already have the irregular date option selected (I wondered if that was the issue actually) and will try your suggestion to see if this makes the event stay on the dates specified in the back end.

All the best, CrosisNZ

Thanks for highlighting this issue - I'm surprised no one has raised this problem before. It arises when Monday is the first day of the week in the config with this combination of days in a weekly repeat.

The next release of JEvents (in a couple of days time) will resolve this issue with the Sunday being missed in the repeat pattern.
