Using Joomla 1.7, latest release of JEvents 2.0 (Aug 24) and rc13 of Latest JEvents.

I imported an ical calendar to get started. I have no idea if that has anything to do with my problem.

I have several instances of Latest JEvents on my site, some showing events by selecting categories with several children categories within them (these work fine) and some where I have selected a single category that has no children but does have a parent. On these, for whatever reason, the modules don't always pick up events within the category chosen even though there are events scheduled within the time parameters set. The weird thing is, these same events will show up in a more general Latest Events module when the parent category is chosen and also show up on the monthly calendar. Also, there are other single category Latest Events modules using a category at the same level with the same parent as those that don't work where the events show up just fine. There does not seem to be a particular pattern with this.
