  2. Help (Jevents 1.4 for Joomla 1.5.x)
  3. Monday, 07 April 2008
Dear all,

I am using JEvents 1.4.3RC and Joomla 1.5.2 in legacy mode. The installation was a breeze but when I was using the frondend to test adding some test events, I notice that the width of the tab especially images tab in "Add Events" shoots all the way to the right of my 3-column Joomla template. The same things happen when I tried switching to a 2-column Joomla template. Please help.

I am seeing the same thing, I think - I've attached a screencap of what I'm seeing.

I've added the Global statement to my index.php file as in the FAQ. I've also made sure I've switched to TinyMCE as indicated in other threads, but I still cannot resolve this issue. I hope to get this resolved ASAP, as this is the only thing preventing me from taking my 1.5 install live.

Swich off the rights column when you go in edit mode.

Sorry, I'm not a programmer - how would I do that? However, the more important question is why do I have to? I found a solution that fixes the TinyMCE width, but I'm not really good with CSS. However, even though the editor is fixed, the Calendar and Images tabs are way messed up - and turning off the third column won't help:

Calendar Tab:

Images Tab:
[attachment=0:3i1autzg]<!-- ia0 -->JeventsImages.JPG<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:3i1autzg]

Where are the width of the tabs contained and how do I fix them? I am not an expert - I can fumble my way around, but I'm not even sure where to begin looking

There is no solution out of the box. Mostly the css settings of your template affects the rendering of the element used by the edit event. CSS knowledge is essential to step forward. Use firefox and the web developer plugin and you find in minutes which css setting influences the problematic elements.
If you like, you can send me access information and I'll have look on it.
