Running JEvents 1.5.1 on Joomla 1.5.14

I am using the ext template, and the tooltips don't look anything like the styling of the main calendar. I would like to adjust the styles on the tooltip/overlib, however I cannot figure out where those styles are called, or what they are named. It looks like they are output inline, so I would have to hack the core code, and I've followed links in this forum to components/com_jevents/views/ext/month/tmpl/calendar_cell.php, and I can see where it is called, but not how to adjust the styles.

If, in the Main Monthly View Configuration, I change "Same background as event" to either yes or no it doesn't change anything. Also, if I set the "Shadow" option to yes or no it doesn't have a shadow.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with this, or suggest another option to make the tooltips match up with the events? (I am willing to change JEvents templates and use a Joomla template override to adjust the styles, if that is what it takes.)
