Could you use different categories for different users?

We hope to allow filtering of events based on the creator at a later date.

What I need, is to be able to change the owner/creator of the event from the backend just like you can for joomla content. The EXTRA tab has the info, but I cant change it. Can I go in the database and make the change? "easily" without messing up indexes and such?

We are a sailboat cruising association and we have cruise events most every weekend but each event has a different cruise leader. I created a bunch of the cruise events in January for the whole year so they are my events but now the cruise leaders are telling me about the changes or errors in the event. I want to change the owner of the event to the cruise leaders so they can edit and update the events themselves. They have author access level but that wont allow them to edit my events. I dont really want to upgrade them to editor because then they could edit anyones content or event.

I Finally figured out how to get the owners changed.

I had to look up the users ID and then go into the database with phpmyadmin and change the creator ID to the new user Id in jos_events.

I hope you guys add the ability to change owners of an event in a future version of jevents.
