Just put the search string "MBCS" in the forum search at the top right of this page

Hi Colin

Can you double check. There is no such version of PHP as 5.5

In the meantime you could change line 268 of events.html.php to read

			. utf8_encode(@html_entity_decode($version->getLongCopyright(), ENT_COMPAT, 'ISO-8859-1')) . ', '

Notice the extra @

you know, you shouldn't just keep referring people to the same post time and time again.

when i do the search for MBCS like you keep on saying to everyone all i get is a list of post with you telling people to use the search. thats a bit none productive to me.

and, to top it off, the post that suggests changing line 268 didn't fix the problem for me.

my own simple solution? i just removed the howl ECHO line! works a treat now!

I changed line 268 of events.html.php to the following and it worked perfectly. Thank you!

. utf8_encode(@html_entity_decode($version->getLongCopyright(), ENT_COMPAT, 'ISO-8859-1')) . ', '

I'm having the same trouble. I originally didn't have anything on line 268, but I added the line you mention here. Now I get a different error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.' in /home/dengler/public_html/components/com_events/events.html.php on line 268

Anyone? I'm new to this.
