This is a great extension to Joomla, and I'm very grateful to y'all for having taken the time to develop it.

In an attempt to control my impatience, however, and because I am hobbled by my adoption of Joomla 1.5, I was hoping you might be able to give me a vague idea of when you might be releasing Beta and Stable releases of Jevents?

1.4.3 is pretty stable (in legacy mode) - we're waiting to release the final version just in case we get some more little bug reports.

1.5 is far from ready - development is a lower priority than I'd like since it contributed nothing to paying the mortgage or feed the family.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the problem with 1.5 being heavy to develop.

I'll install 1.4 in the meantime.

It is now July. Any update on when 1.5 in NATIVE mode might go to Beta or Stable?

I can definately understand needing to pay the mortgage.

It appears there is now a competitor tool, which also includes on-line registration for events (but no payment method yet), that runs in Native mode. It also appears to lack the sidebar calendar component/module (I still get confused which is which) for displaying, but otherwise is getting great reviews.

I have JEvents on my Joomla 1.0.x site, but I'm needing to upgrate to Joomla 1.5 Native -- sorry legacy mode conflicts with other extensions.

Wishing you the best in getting this stable. A progress update would be helpful.

I'm interested in knowing more about the alternative calendar/events module. I've looked a several, but none that seem to match jEvents. But I'm feeling like this might be a dead project. Can you post a link to the alternative?
