  3. Thursday, 13 March 2008
I can't get the 24 hr clock format to work in the latest events module. When filling out that an event lasts from 15.00 to 22.00, this shows up in latest events front end as 03.00 to 22.00. I can change the PHP date format for closing time, but I don't find this for start time.

What format string are you using for mod_events_latest? I get 03:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

I use ${eventDate}[!a: - ${endDate(%H:%M%p)}]<br/>${title} in the custom format string, which I find in mod_events_latest.lib.php in line 67.

which should show the 24 hr format. The problem is that %H only refers to the end date, and it is the start time (eventdate) that is shown incorrectly.

The settings for both the component and the latest event module are set for 24 hr clock. Date format is set to continental - German.

The 24hr setting does not affect the module. The formatting is only controlled by the format string.

I have checked "Use 12hr time Format - NO" in the component settings. If I check YES I get "am" and "pm" at the start and end times when I post a new event.

The problem is that only the start time is wrong - even if I put 15.00 for three o'clock in the afternoon, this gets converted to 03.00. If I put 17.00 for 5 pm, this stays as 17.00 in latest events.

This also makes this problem different from the one pointed at in the other forum post. It's not the complete date format that is wrong.

Even if I add %H %M, or similar to eventdate in custom format string, I only get 03.00 etc...

Can't really think of more options for this problem.

Use [color=#008000:y4fmbtry]${eventDate(%H:%M%)}[!a: - ${endDate(%H:%M%)}]<br/>${title}[/color:y4fmbtry] as format string and verify if this is really active (Compont or Module parameter). Then you get always a 24hr format which is formatted by a php function and not by JEvents.
Check the content of the database if there is the correct time
