Sirs,

After having used JEvents for quite some years, I have now run into problems with the latest version (3.6.5). I am no longer able to schedule an event which is only taking part the first Tuesday or Thursday of the month. Creating the event is not the issue, although some times the page changes dates following a Save command. But, when displaying the event it is repeated each and every Tuesday or Thursday of the month, not only the first which the setup said.
As for your new Dashboard layout, I prefer the old one.

Regards,
Hans

After more tries, with re-installs (both old and new versions) I realized that I had misinterpreted the buttons for the repetitions of weekly day settings. My bad :(

I just tested this for the first Tuesday of the month starting on 1 September and it worked perfectly.

Please bear in mind that if you don't have the start day as the first Tuesday that the start date will move to match the first Tuesday so if you try to create the first Tuesday of the month starting on 11 September the start date will roll forward to 6 October.

If you'd like me to take a look please add URL and login details in the private site details tab below.

p.s. We had to rework our backend to allow us to accommodate Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 simultaneously sorry you are not so keen - which aspect(s) do you not like?

Hi, sorry for the late response.
The "problem" at first was a mere oversight on my part, that the green buttons actually indicated that all weeks were active, not only the one I pressed. The default setting fooled me before I got the picture ;)

What I do not like is the new JEvents Dashboard. I still think the old one gave a better overview and an easier access to new events than the new one. All the present info on the dashboard page is hardly used, what I need is quick access to making new events, and a quick over present events, not mere numbers.
But, I guess this will be individual. I have also found, as I have more sites where JEvents is used, that the Return To Joomla button at the bottom of the vertical left hand menu actually makes the entire menu flicker, and it does not function properly. I did a re-install on two sites and the issue was solved.
