Hello,

first of all, I'm waiting for a proforma invoice from you (I've ordered gold subscription). I'm writing this not to nag, but to tell you that very soon I'll have access to all your extensions.

The problem is: I have a design that I have to turn into working site. It'll be totally based on JEvents, even without native Joomla articles (probably). Please take a look at the attached image. Will I be able to pull it off with existing JEvents addons without additional coding in PHP? I'm not asking for detailed tips, just your vague opinion, if it's possible to create.

I'll use template framework which lets me create 'all module' page or put a component in any of the areas.

So - the 1st area will have to list events form 'today' ordered chronologicaly.
2nd area - 'this week' view, but without 'today', so only the 6 other days of the week. The idea is: user will be able to click one of these 6 days and the list of that day's events will be displayed in area 1.
3rd area - calendar view. To make things harder, designer wants me to limit every row to 5 cells. To make it look more artistic and original, I guess.
4th area - list of categories (each category linked to a list of its events, of course)
5th area - list of existing tags (also each one leading to suitable events).

Separately content of each area seems like a pretty easy goal to achieve, but all of them on one page? Is it possible to achieve without rewriting the whole JEvents component?

Hello,

I'll be getting the proforma out to you shortly :-).

You could do this using the latest events module to fetch the events for 1-2-3 I'm not quite sure I get your point on this week? You want to select a day from this week list which renders the days data into cell 1 is that right?

Many thanks
Tony

I thought that instead of explaining it (I might mess something) I'd draw a beautiful piece of art, which is pretty self-explanatory (I attached it to this post). It enlightened me that clicking on 2nd area 'days of the week' to list their events in 1st area has no sense, so I want these events to be listed in popups instead. So... is 1 and 2 possible to accomplish with help of latest events module? 3 is simple calendar module (I think) modified to display only 5 days in a row, while 4 and 5... I have no idea. Maybe 4 will be modified legend module? But 5? No clue.

Hello,

1 & 3 is possible without issue.

2 is a little harder since we don't have a week view. But you could create a simple module to do this fairly easily. Or just use Javascript to generate a week list and change the date in the url.

Many thanks
Tony
